Control

Stop accepting tokens you can't trust

ArxLayer validates, binds, and scopes API keys and JWTs at the edge, before a request ever reaches your origin. Reject expired, malformed, replayed, and out-of-scope tokens up front, with every rule versioned and reversible.

The problem

A valid signature isn't the same as a safe request

Bearer tokens travel in headers and get copied, cached, and leaked. Once one escapes, anything holding it can act as the caller.

Leaked & long-lived tokens

API keys end up in logs, repos, and proxies, then stay usable far past the moment they were issued.

Replay & token reuse

A captured token can be replayed across endpoints and clients, and the origin can't tell the copy from the original.

Over-scoped access

Tokens minted for one purpose get reused for another, granting reach the caller was never meant to have.

What you get

Token checks that run before your code does

Validation, binding, and scope enforcement happen in the edge request path, so bad tokens are rejected before any business logic runs.

Signature & claim validation

Verify JWT signatures, issuer, audience, and expiry, and reject malformed or stale tokens at the edge.

Bind tokens to context

Tie a token to the conditions it was issued under so a copy used elsewhere is rejected, not honored.

Scope enforcement

Require the right scope or audience for each route, so a token can only reach what it was meant for.

Replay & abuse controls

Throttle and shed repeated or anomalous token use, and cut off a token that's clearly being abused.

Versioned, reversible policy

Every token rule is a new version you can review and roll back in seconds, with safe staged rollout.

No private keys in enforcement

The edge validates tokens without holding your private signing keys, keeping a cleaner security boundary.

How it works

From raw token to trusted request

Define what a good token looks like, watch real traffic, then enforce.

Declare your token rules

Set issuer, audience, scope, and lifetime expectations per API or route through the API-first control plane.

Observe in simulate mode

See which live tokens would be rejected and why, before anything is blocked, with evidence behind each decision.

Enforce at the edge

Turn on rejection of invalid, replayed, and out-of-scope tokens, and roll back any rule instantly.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does ArxLayer store my signing keys?
No. The enforcement layer validates tokens without holding your private signing keys; key custody lives behind a separate boundary.
Can it protect plain API keys, not just JWTs?
Yes. Both JWTs and API keys can be validated, scoped, and rate-limited at the edge, with the same versioned, reversible policy.
How does this help with leaked tokens?
Binding a token to its issuing context and enforcing scope means a copied or leaked token used out of place is rejected, and clear abuse can be cut off.
Will I block legitimate callers by mistake?
Run token rules in simulate mode first to see exactly which requests would be rejected and why, then enforce when you're confident.

Make every token earn the request

Start in simulate mode to see which tokens ArxLayer would reject, then enforce validation, binding, and scope at the edge.
