Protect
Protection for your AI-agent endpoints
Agentic workflows turn your APIs into machine-to-machine traffic at scale. The Agent Gateway enforces OWASP CRS protection, abuse controls, and identity-aware policy on agent-to-app and tool traffic, with machine identities handled by ArxLayer Identity & NHI.
The shift
AI agents are a new kind of client
An agent is not a browser and not a hand-written integration. It calls APIs and tools autonomously, as a machine identity, at volumes no human produces, and that changes the attack surface.
Agent-to-app traffic
Tool & function abuse

What you get
Enforcement for agent traffic, stated plainly
The Agent Gateway protects the endpoints your agents call. It is request-level enforcement and identity context, not a model-safety layer.
OWASP CRS inspection
Abuse & rate controls
Identity-aware policy
Token-bound access
Evidence for every decision
Honest scope
How it works
The same edge, applied to agents
Agent traffic flows through ArxLayer Edge and is inspected before it reaches your origin, with identity in the loop.
Route agent endpoints
Bind machine identity

FAQ
Questions, answered
- Does the Agent Gateway detect prompt injection?
- No. It is request-level enforcement for the endpoints agents call: OWASP CRS inspection, abuse controls, and identity-aware policy. It does not reason about model intent or detect prompt injection.
- How do agents authenticate?
- As machine identities (non-human identities, NHI) via ArxLayer Identity & NHI, so policy can be scoped to the specific identity behind each call.
- Can I rate-limit a single misbehaving agent?
- Yes. Abuse and rate controls are scoped per identity and route, so one agent or workflow can't degrade the rest of the system.
